Chen Wins the New York State Open Again!

Watching my little brother Chen's journey has been one of the greatest pleasures of my teaching career. Over the past 11 years, we've worked together to build every part of his game. Through countless hours of practice, research, and competition, he has developed into one of the finest players—and one of the finest golf swings worldwide.

People are naturally drawn to watching Chen swing a golf club. He combines tremendous power with exceptional accuracy, and his short game and putting are every bit as impressive. As he starts his master's degree and begins the next chapter as a professional golfer, we're excited to see what the future holds.

This season has already been a special one. Chen became the first player in history to win the New York State Open as both an amateur and a professional. He also captured the Long Island Open’s first-place check. The week at the New York State Open was memorable in more ways than one. During the Pro-Am, Chen's team won the event after he made an eagle and several birdies throughout the round. It also marked his third victory on Bethpage Black, adding to his two New York State Open titles and his final-round victory at the Doc Gimmler, played on the Black Course while he was at St. John's.

As proud as we are of these accomplishments, our work is far from finished. Over the next few weeks, we'll continue refining the movement of Chen's right leg and right hip to eliminate a few shots that drifted left coming down the stretch. That's the mindset we've always shared—celebrate the wins, then get back to improving.

We're working hard, and we're excited for the next challenge.
