Shape Change in a Golf Swing
An Exploration of Human Body Shape Change During the Golf Swing:
A Mathematical Interpretation of Tom Myers’ Myofascial Lines Modeled in a Full-Body Ellipsoid Framework. This study presents a novel approach to visualizing and quantifying how the human body dynamically changes shape throughout the golf swing. By incorporating Tom Myers’ concept of Myofascial Lines into a mathematically defined ellipsoid-based full-body model, we offer a biomechanical representation that bridges anatomical theory and movement science. The model captures the continuous deformation of the body's architecture, allowing for a more detailed understanding of load distribution, tension lines, and rotational system behavior during high-speed athletic motion.
