Golf Magazine Top 100
It is always gratifying to be recognized for the work you’re doing, and getting named to Golf Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 Teachers list is no exception.
I can still remember the feeling when I made the list for the first time, in 2017—a sense of validation that all the time and effort that has gone into understanding the intricacies of the swing and how to demystify them for students has been time well spent.
I’m fortunate to have great support from the people here at Rock Hill, and a collection of students that have an awesome combination of curiosity, patience (and a sense of humor) about some of the non-traditional things they might see on the lesson tee.
It’s also a thrill to see some of the coaching friends get recognition for their work, too. I know how hard teachers like Brian Manzella work to not only help their students get better every day, but also grow their knowledge.
There’s so much new and exciting stuff out there to examine, digest and figure out how to effectively use as a coach and teacher. As I’ve said before, there’s never been a more exciting time to be a teacher (and a student!).
