Webinar: Lag, Load & Release Kinetics

$75.00

The second webinar of 2025 is scheduled for June 26th and will run for 90 minutes. This session will explore how golfers lag, load, and release the club using force and torque. Since the launch of Jacobs 3D in 2014, the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma component convention has become the best way to analyze how a golfer moves the club during the swing. The Alpha and Beta components serve as the primary inputs for generating lag and shaft lean. A deeper understanding of these elements can lead to a more efficient and powerful swing.

We’re also introducing a new addition to our research platform: Jacobs 2D. This streamlined version of Jacobs 3D simplifies the analysis to a two-dimensional club convention. While 3D provides a more complete picture, 2D remains widely used in golf kinesiology through simplified models like the functional double pendulum or a swing plane coordinate system. In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate how 2D and 3D compare in capturing swing dynamics, with a dedicated segment on the new Jacobs 2D system.

Webinar Topics

  • Club Lag

  • Shaft Lean and Tilt

  • Alpha Force

  • Beta Force

  • Angular Response

  • Alpha Torque

  • Beta Torque

  • Lag and Lean

  • Jacobs 2D

June 26th 2025 7:30-9:00pm

Each attendee will receive a zoom link 24 hours before the class. The webinar will run from 7:30pm to 9:00pm eastern time. There will be a 15 minute Q&A at the end of each class.

Everyone will have access to the recorded classes for 21 days. If you cannot make it for the live class, you can still watch it at your leisure.
