It is always gratifying to be recognized for the work you’re doing, and getting named to Golf Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 Teachers list is no exception. I can still remember the feeling when I made the list for the first time, in 2017—a sense of validation that all the time and effort that has gone into understanding the intricacies of the swing and how to demystify them for students has been time well spent…..

The Language of Improvement
A lot of the national attention I get comes from the kinetic analysis software I developed with Dr. Steven Nesbit at Lafayette College. There’s no doubt that collaborating on that project is one of the things I’m most proud of in my 20+ years as a teacher. But all of that research and study can either sit on the shelf in the form of a paper or book, or it can move out into the world and help real golfers…..














Body Mass Center - Movement Path
You are looking at two professional players (labeled A & B). The images map out a movement trace of their body’s mass center. The first view is from face on and slightly forward for player A and directly face on for player B. The bottom images are from the above view, with player B's image zoomed in a bit more. This is a fun program, looking forward to comparing with all of our students.
